I've really enjoyed using the SodaStream, both for ease of use and cost of carbonated drinks. While I do wonder about the long term effects of drinking daily doses of Splenda, which is in all the SodaStream syrups, it is easy to use homemade syrups, or those from other manufacturers. Although the bottles and caps are not dishwasher safe, I've not found it too difficult to hand wash them, but I can understand this getting tedious for some. Overall, I'd strongly recommend this product.

As a frequent and heavy soda drinker(regular, diet..as long as it's soda), I was very pleasantly surprised when I received a Sodastream from my wife as a Christmas present (don't know where she purchased it). I was a bit cautious about attaching the CO2 container, but that was easy. Once I got past assembly issues (very easy...just afraid of an accidental explosion), the drink making was SUPER EASY! A wide variety of flavors in the starter pack, and you may order more from wither the online store or any select retailer (available on the sodastream.com website).

This product is truly amazing! It's a green product (saves you from buying commercial sodas in cans or plastic bottles), is easy to use, and even easier to exchange the CO2 cylinders and purchase flavors. All from the tap in your home.

It makes a decent soda, but has a different taste to it. SodaStream does not taste like "Diet Coke, Sprite" as seen in the T.V. ads you may have seen. The sparkling water is gross. I stick with the soda mixes.
